4-Day Introduction to Taekwondo

In the introduction class, students will learn basic Taekwondo techniques, concepts and terminologies.
Picking up Taekwondo is a great way for the child to develop self-confidence, self-defence skills and basic physical fitness such as strength, agility and endurance.
The programme will be taught by Kickmatics Taekwondo Chief Instructor and Singapore's Former National Taekwondo Athlete, Coach Jordan Tay.
Board Breaking & Demonstration Workshop

Demonstration and board breaking is such an iconic part of Taekwondo that it would be easy to dismiss it as showmanship. But, in reality, being able to break a board is an important skill in Taekwondo requiring both physical skill in the form of proper technique, and mental skill in the form of conquering your fear of injury. And as the number of boards increases, the skill required increases exponentially.
However, safely breaking a single board is approachable by anyone with a bit of training. In this workshop, students will be introduced to the different techniques that will take board breaking into a whole new level. Students will learn how to Channel their energy to perform power breaking techniques (breaking through a Series of boards) and overcoming limits with jumping and flying kicks.
Students will also learn how to perform choreographed techniques, series of poomsae and self-defence techniques for demonstration performances. There will be several exercises to prepare the students and then will have their chance to put their new skills to the test!
